Our Commitments

Your writing is never used to train shared AI models

Privacy Modes

When creating a project, you choose how Idioscript handles your documents. This choice affects what data is stored and what features are available.

Standard Mode

Your documents are stored securely alongside extracted data. This gives you full flexibility to re-analyze, update fingerprints, and view original content.

Derived-Only Mode

Maximum privacy. Only extracted data (Style Fingerprints, Story Bible entities) is stored. Original document content is deleted immediately after processing.

Cannot view original documents after upload
Cannot manually trigger re-analysis

This mode is irreversible. You cannot switch to Standard Mode later or recover original documents.

Data Storage & Security

Encrypted Storage

All data is encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption. Database connections are encrypted in transit.

Access Control

Row-level security ensures you only see your own projects and data. Authentication is required for all operations.

API Key Security

API keys are hashed before storage. We never store plain-text keys and cannot recover them — you'll need to create new ones if lost.

Infrastructure Security

Hosted on enterprise-grade infrastructure with continuous monitoring, automated backups, and regular security audits.

AI Processing Guarantees

Your Work Is Not Training Data

When we use AI services to analyze your writing or generate text, your content is processed in real-time only. It is never used to train or improve shared models. Your style fingerprint and story data stay yours alone.

AI processing happens only when you explicitly request it (analysis, generation, etc.)
We use APIs that do not retain or train on submitted content
Your fingerprints and story data are stored separately from AI infrastructure
No third party has ongoing access to your creative work

Ethical Use Commitment

Idioscript is built to support responsible authorship. We do not design features to obscure AI involvement, evade institutional rules, or misrepresent authorship. Our tools emphasize transparency, voice consistency, and informed creative decision-making.

Deleting Your Data

Data Deletion Options

Delete a document — Removes the document and its extracted data from the Story Bible.
Delete a fingerprint — Removes the style analysis permanently.
Delete a project — Removes the project and all associated documents, fingerprints, and story data.
Delete your account — Removes all your data from Idioscript permanently. Contact support to initiate.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure you have backups of anything you want to keep before deleting.
